Profile
David graduated from the University of Leeds in 1983. Having spent two years as a Site Engineer for George Dew & Co he moved on to become an Assistant Resident Engineer on the Thorp Projects at Sellafield until starting as a Project Engineer for Allott & Lomax in 1987. He joined Marston and Grundy as an Associate in 1994 and was elected Partner in 1996.
He has worked on a diverse range of projects including medium and high rise office blocks and residential developments and various retail, commercial and health care projects.
Key Experience
David has extensive experience in delivering high quality structural designs across a wide range of construction sectors. As a Partner of the Practice David is responsible for managing individual projects from commission to completion. His role entails developing concept designs for new projects and managing company resources to ensure that high quality information is delivered to clients in a timely fashion.
Other experience extends to civil design associated with nuclear powerplants, bus stations, interchanges and Metrolink Park & Ride schemes
David is skilled in the design of all structural materials and is conversant with current Eurocodes for each. He is familiar with the latest structural design techniques in a variety of materials.
